Avenue Leadership Training for Managers & Lead Teachers

- Avenue Leadership Training formatted into two courses of 8 weekly units each

- Participants build skills as lead teachers or managers

- Grow your learning tech leadership skills with a community of LINC, CLIC and Ontario ALT colleagues

- Complete all the weekly units to earn Avenue Learning Leadership Certificates

- Engage with videos, readings, audio podcasts and discussion forums

- Dive deep on the Avenue Standards for Technology-enhanced Language Learning (TELL)

- Delve into the affordances and ethical responsible use of generative artificial intelligence

- Apply innovations and leadership principles to your language program

- Take a dive into Universal Design for Learning and the SAMR model

- Develop a strategic plan to improve local learning technology uptake and teaching/learning practices

The Avenue Learning Leadership course was released in 2015. Since then, hundred of language training pros have graduated. The courses are divided into Introduction and Advanced, each weekly unit takes about 2.5 – 3 hours to complete.

We invite professionals in IRCC or MLITSD-funded language programs like LINC, CLIC or Ontario Adult Language Training to request enrolment. The courses are mentored and delivered online through Avenue.ca. Participants in the courses have self-identified as learning technology leaders, and the forum posts they share in the course reflect valuable lessons from their local language training programs.
