Service Interruption - Migration to Moodle 4.5
Major upgrade to our Learning Management System (LMS)
In Mid-November Avenue will migrate from Moodle Version 3.10 to Moodle Version 4.5 and
Avenue will be unavailable to our learners and teachers.
Upgrade Logistics and Timeline
Friday, November 14 (Evening):
Avenue will enter maintenance mode. Files and databases will be exported to the new server.
Saturday, November 15 (Morning–Evening):
The technical team will begin the upgrade, stepping through versions 3.10 → 3.11 → 4.1 → 4.5. Once complete, the IT team will install updated Avenue plugins and begin testing.
Sunday, November 16:
Testing and troubleshooting will continue. If the site is stable, maintenance mode will be lifted and users can log in. Minor bugs may persist briefly as adjustments are made.
Avenue will be unavailable during the upgrade window (Friday evening through Sunday).
Please plan ahead and avoid scheduling classes or assessments during this period.
